2026 in Pisticci…sigh!!!

After painting all day I decided to do the first coat of varnish on the metal panel painting. I have only used water based varnish before which has never been a problem. But this is not water based. I was trying to find the best protection for outdoors.  I deliberately  didn’t buy a spray varnish as it needed a lot of ventilation.  However this stuff is fairly potent so I have the door open and am considering keeping the aircon on and sleeping upstairs tonight. ( that means keeping the door open as the hose needs to go out.)

Tied a temporary curtain across the door in the work room. ( I’m  scared a bird flies in.) Hoping that if I keep it open until I go to bed the panel will be dry and the smell will have gone.

So I’m in the living part of my house with the portable aircon on as I think it will shift the air.

I don’t really know how these things work. But I’m not getting paid enough to get poisoned. ( I may be slightly over reacting…. it wouldn’t  be the first time.)

Aircon working well. ( as the temperatures are to get quite high this week I’m glad I’ve  got it. )

Before I got out the varnish I was getting on fairly well with the red umbrella. I think I’m  at 80% so tomorrow I could finish it.

Just noticed that I’ve missed out a set of railings.

Tomorrow  I’ll need to decide what to do about the metal panel. It’s  too heavy to move out and in or I could get up at 5am and work on it outside.

Anyways, it’s  wine time now. And I can’t smell anything through here.

Cheers 🍷🍷
