2026 in Pisticci…cooking….

I haven’t used my gas cooker for ages. Cooking isn’t  really one of my favourite things to do so mostly I’ve  used the microwave. Also it is cooler.

But my neighbour gave me a bag of vegetables ….and as I still had no painting inspiration…..I thought that I’d use them. She also gave me four eggs.

Thanks to my new powerful fan I could be in that part of my house with the cooker. The temperature  was still 32C in the corner, but I was cool.

So I now have enough for 7 lunches.

Nella used to make me something  vaguely like this years ago.

It bothered me that I couldn’t  think of anything to paint.

So I prepared for inspiration  to strike…..

12  20x20cms  all ready.

Then I wondered if I should lay away my favourite crayons ( neocolours 11) .

And inspiration struck!!

I love using these crayons and I reminded myself that I don’t  have to always paint Pisticci.

So…….

I loved drawing this. I’ve sprayed it with fixative now so it should not rub off.

This afternoon I actually fell asleep and feel so much better for it.

I found a Scottish artist who sells paintings on EBAY.  Was quite inspiring.

Now, having watered the flowers I’m  sitting at my lovely round table with the fan keeping me cool. It’s  still quite warm outside .

My painted brick floor looks good.
My new fan🧡

More Maigret now I think.

Cheers🍷🍷
