Nearly July and the last post I wrote was in the Spring……..

Note to self- must stop putting things off till everything is finished and ready- it never happens!!

So here I am again , and I was reminded of the first few posts I wrote here which were all about how I was going to make a living and be able to stay here.

And I am still here. I suppose I have some excuse for not blogging in the last few months as we are in the process of selling our country house and I have moved into my studio and my partner is buying a smaller (but very pretty) country house.

This means that with my share  of the proceeds from the house, if I am reasonably frugal then I could live here for the forseeable future. And if I sell lots of paintings I could live very well!

I have continued painting and drawing through all the ups and downs of house selling and have as much work as I can possibly do along with lots of other stuff that I want to do but never seem to have the time- like finishing  my 50 people from Pisticci project.

Since the last post I have finished the carnevale painting,  have eleven paintings in the Pasticci restaurant (one sold – replacement to paint next week), have a painting in an opticians shop window in Bernalda, started 2 sketchbooks,  painted 4 large paintings and have 2 commissioned portraits started and a possible family group to do. As well as a lot of possibles which I am not in a rush to do as it would be nice to go to the beach sometime this summer.

It seems now that people approach me either at my studio or more often in a cafe or in the street – I don’t really go out for coffee every day- it’s marketing – really it is!!

So here are some of the things I have painted or drawn recently. (the paintings are all 60x80cms  and am working on another one just now)

  1. Love your paintings…love your notebook drawings! You are a very lucky lady, living where you want to and doing what you love.
