Since the last post , the work on my artist’s retreat has finished and now it only needs furnishing. If you would like to see photos and find out more about it then click on this link http://moltobrava.blogspot.com . When it is finally furnished I will put some photos on this blog too. (It looks amazing!)
In the meantime I have been doing a mixture of things, some more food, a commission of a street scene, and some larger paintings inspired by one of my favourite artists. Then laterally I did a portrait without any pre drawing and in a what I hoped was a looser style. I am starting on another commissioned portrait today and taking part in an art event tomorrow. In between that have been having a social life …………
Am sort of promising myself that when I get to September I will get organised and write something that doesn’t feel like a brief note……we’ll see.
(added a photo of my newly renovated artist’s house and one of a play I was at out of doors.)
That looks like YOUR house, Anne!! When are you moving in? I think that visiting artists might get an even bigger kick out of staying in your current house, don’t you think? It is a very unusual and intriguing place…
would be nice but, visiting artists might not be so good at moving boxes around to catch the rain coming through the roof , or ignoring the little lumps of plaster that occasionally land on the table or have the technique with the hammer to close the door or take care of the lizard that lives on the door, or ………yes …..well……..I love my studio . Its like an extension of myself . my new artist’s house is so perfect I don’t think I would fit yet…..but in the future …..
