2022 in Pisticci…what I really like is finishing…..

I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not as I often read about how important it is to enjoy the process.

Maybe I’m being too picky , but I  I enjoy the ” finishing ” much more than the process.

I think that’s why I’m enjoying painting this series of local scenes.

Finished (more or less as I still need to paint round the edges) I extended the plant to cover the buildings in the background which I was stuck on yesterday.

I spent about 3 hours on the commission  today and I’m starting to see where I’m  going with it. It still doesn’t look very nice.

Have changed the buildings above the arches 3 times now.

It was good to go out today for coffee and to buy wine after an early start painting.

And take photos.  It’s fun looking for new scenes.

I might use two of these photos as references.

It’s been  a very satisfactory  day. My petunias ( not pansies) are looking good and the weather is due to heat up later in the week.

My wine store is comfortably  full.

The stove is lit and it’s about 22C inside.

I have saved electricity by sleeping without the light on for the last 2 nights. ( there’s a street lamp right outside my door.)

Wine time. Hurray!.

Cheers 🍷🍷
