It’s been a bit overcast all day. 

After my late night at the film festival I didn’t wake up until 7am.  That’s  late for me.

Feeling a bit tired I thought that I’d better get the shopping done and then I could relax.

And mostly after that I painted, accompanied by Hamish Macbeth. This week  I’ve now finished 4 small local scenes and am started the fifth one .

The storm didn’t begin until about 5pm. The rain was coming right in the door so I’ve had to close it. Due to the heat and various other things my door won’t shut without a well aimed whack with my big hammer on the locking mechanism.

I tried standing at the door ² to get a photo of a big lightening flash , but gave up after a few minutes feeling a bit silly.

The storm is more violent than previous days and is moving around Pisticci. 

There is a progressive rock concert on tonight , beginning around 9pm.( theoretically)  I don’t know what progressive rock is, but if it’s dry by then I might take a walk up town and investigate.

I enjoyed walking home by myself last night. There were lots of people about at nearly midnight.

For now I think I’ll have a glass of wine and relax. 4 paintings,  a market and a film festival is a good result  for this week.
