Even after 17 years I still get a thrill looking around Pisticci.

The weather is lovely. Around 30C and cooler in the evenings.

I slept in my attic  last night again. It has been okay sleeping on a mattress on the floor in my gallery , but my attic feels like a proper bedroom.

Mostly today I’ve worked on my new portrait. It’s coming along nicely using my new brushes.

I’m especially pleased with myself for experimenting with the background digitally.

I downloaded a photo of the portrait as it is so far and then digitally painted in a background to see if it would work. I think it looks great and tomorrow I can paint it for real, with confidence.

I needed more paracetamols, wine , carrots and exercise so took a walk up town .

Chatted in the butcher’s while buying wine. Met a client in the farmacia and wished the singing fruit and veg man a ‘ good evening’. And greeted various other people on the way up the hill.

I am appreciating contact with people.

However now I’m happy to be home alone ,drinking wine and relaxing.
