After a disturbed night’s sleep I eventually gave up and got up about 5am. 

Today was to be wash day, using the washing machine which hasn’t been used since the beginning of the summer. I’ve discovered that soaking , then washing and rinsing by hand works perfectly well in 35C.

It worked. ( I never take that for granted as it might be 15 years old.)

So now all my “hot” summer clothes are washed and laid away. Am onto merely ” warm ” summer clothes.

The rest of the day was filled with portrait painting,  ( going slowly) , trying out another digital background, making peanut butter, reading and feeling happy that I am getting a lift to the airport bus stop and not needing to get 2 buses….

I think I only really woke up properly about 4pm.

I thought it would be nice to have something to show for today. 

So this is my 50th local scene in progress.

I’m now thinking about going to Scotland quite a lot. I’ll  be going without luggage this time again .

My boarding passes are printed and saved on my phone. Booster is done. I had hoped to have made my 50 local scenes into a book by now , but that was probably being a bit optimistic.

It looks like it might be a chilly winter here if we are only to have 5 hours heating per day. I’m not sure of the exact details. Not that I have electric heating anyways. So I don’t know how that works. I was wondering if I could buy a couple of cheap outside solar lights and then bring them inside at nights. I don’t see why that isn’t possible.

Anyways there is so far no limit to wine….
