It’s only been 4 days since I finished my last painting, but it has felt strange not to paint.

Unless I count painting flowers on the shower room floor. Today I tidied up a few other bits which were looking a bit worn. Tomorrow I’ll varnish where I’ve painted. As an inexpert job, it has lasted about 4 years so far and looks good for several more. I’ve given it another coat of varnish, but other than that Ive left it alone. It took me 2 days to do using only old acrylic paint colours which weren’t getting used. Not a bad job.

Today I didn’t put the gas heater on until about 3pm. The gas man is out of town and I don’t know how long what I’ve got will last. However, it was okay. The weather is still nice here and I had the door open for several hours.

I put the small screen up, but Fluffy just pushed it aside and strolled in.

It was afternoon when I finally started painting. I was delayed by not being able to find the right photo to use as reference. I spent about an hour going virtually cross eyed and then found it in the first folder I had looked in. I tried using another photo of the same view, but it just wasn’t right.

Now it’s wine and warm up time. I think I’ll heat up hotdoggio……..
