I woke up this morning after sleeping for nearly 11 hours and felt wonderful. Happy and energetic and ready to start the day.
( If I knew how to repeat the experience I surely would, but a good night’s sleep is a lovely gift.)
And the sun was shining!
So I went out and swept up most of the plaster that had fallen off the wall of the house opposite and blown all over the street.
Then I sorted out all my recycling plastic, paper and glass and smoothed out and kept all the scrunched up newspaper which had been used as packing. Smoothed out , it will cover my desk and probably last all summer.
After that I hung out the washing which still wasn’t dry after 3 days in the shower.
It was so warm and sunny . I thought I’d photograph January flowers.

I thought after all that I’d better do some work so printed out photos of 4 statues I found on Pinterest.
I enjoyed the walk up to where I’m painting the mural.

Mural painting went well . Tonight I was painting the bottom of the mural so that it looks like it is part of the floor.
I wasn’t 100% sure that I could do this, but with the aid of a sponge , several layers of paint and a tiny brush I am seriously impressed. I managed to match the colours pretty well.

On the way back just to add to the niceness of the day I bought some more of my favourite wine.
Cheers from ” happy marble tile painter ” 🍷🍷
