2026 in Perth…what a lovely day……

I set off this morning on the train to meet my cousin in Edinburgh.

Anticipating a quiet journey I took a new travellers notebook with me to test it out.

Notebook, sketchbook, crayons, pen, business card.

However I spent the time being entertained by the views of the sea and lovely countryside and chatting to a friendly woman who was accompanied by 4 small children and her daughter. It was so nice to meet someone who liked to talk. Since covid , it has sometimes felt like no one chats to strangers any more.

And it turned out I knew her family and had stayed with her uncle in Orkney many years ago. Small world.

I was thinking about how even after about 20 years it’s  possible to pick up where you left off with some people. I hadn’t realised how special that is.

Today was like that. Comfortable.

Luckily I looked at my watch  or we might have talked right past the time of my train.

In Edinburgh
What a fantastic view
Pretty good view from the cafe.

Now I’m home at Katy’s, having a glass of wine and smiling about my lovely day.

Cheers🍷🍷

These photos of the shower room are for Avril. 😀 ( and I am quite proud of my lily pond shower. )
