I was asleep and woken by a sort of cracking noise and then it was like an explosion as my house shuddered. 

I got up and looked out. I could hear people talking, but didnt see anyone. I’m on the edge of town.

Then I got dressed, just incase, and took a look around to see if there were any more cracks. There weren’t. 

It was quite scary , so I had a comfort yoghurt and checked Facebook, where there lots of posts about an earthquake in the sea off Calabria. And at least one of a swinging light fitting.

I had to smile because I wasn’t wearing my whistle which I bought for emergencies.

Then I watched an episode of ” Have I got news for you..” And eventually fell asleep.

I’ve felt a bit unwell all day today.

However I got the aircon set up better and hung up a net curtain with minimum effort over the door. ( it could be improved )

The only problem with having the door open is that I get visiting cats. Fluffy, of course,  but another two dropped in.

I am just checking that the pizzeria is open tonight as it’s a holiday. It’s a long way to walk to find out it’s closed.

Having an ” aperitivo ” wine in the meantime.
