As I puffed up the various sets of steps and steep hills from the bigger supermarket, this afternoon, carrying my shopping I thought gloomily that Verona was FLAT.( At least the part I was in was flat. I never walked up a hill for 4 weeks.) So when I decided to go for a walk twice a day here I forgot to take that into account. In Verona I stopped and looked in shop windows and then up at gorgeous architecture and often had a seat half way.
I think an adjustment is necessary. I deliberately didn’t buy bananas this morning so that I would have to go out later. Not doing that again.
I was out early this morning as I’d had a letter from the bank saying that my ID was about to run out and needed renewed. I thought that I’d better not put it off so I was there around 8.20am. There were about 8 people in front of me.

Eventually we were let in and I headed for the “complicated stuff” side. Everyone else went to the other side. A member of staff came out of an office and I asked him if this was the right place to wait to update my ID. He said ” Yes, we could do it in the office.”And turned back. I said , ” Now?” And then followed him into the office where after about 2 minutes he said that I didn’t need to do anything as everything was fine. Puzzled and pleased I scuttled out of the bank hoping no one thought that I’d jumped the queue.
It was lovely to meet old friends and go in my nice little supermarket. I went for an Espressino on the way home as they don’t seem to do them in Verona. ( Maybe they do , but I didn’t see them advertised.)

I set out to adjust some dresses and trousers for summer.

And by lunch time I had vacuum packed all my winter clothes and two bags for throwing out. I’m now ready for summer. I like being organised.
After a 3 hour lunch break I got out my very pretty fountain pen and after using a tool to open the ink bottle I refilled it with only a slight difficulty as I tried to open the wrong end. It now has some scratches making it more personal. ( not ruined!) When I used it to draw a sketch of my area in Verona I screwed the lid on the ink so tight that I needed the tin opener tool to open it. It feels quite special to write with it.

I forgot to make a proper arrangement for the aircon so have just used the fan today. I’m thinking of cutting up a fitted sheet to fill the gap when I open the door to stick the hose out.
I’m sitting at my round table now looking out of the window. When I put up a net curtain I’ll open the door and enjoy the breeze.

It was nice to eat proper food again today. “Woman can not live on fish fingers alone.”
I wrote a list of some of the things I learned in my adventure in Verona. It was quite long and it’s not finished yet.
It’s been fun sitting at my own round table on my round chair writing this. Sometimes I know what I need.
Wine time now.
Cheers🍷🍷
