2026 in Pisticci….mostly feste….

More fireworks at 6am.This time they woke me up.

Last night I went out, enjoyed the lights, met some friends, bought a necklace ( my feste tradition ) and saw the little procession with the elegant horses.

There was a band.
Waiting for the horses in the piazza with the fountain. ( not going down the narrow street where there is no way to get away from scared horses. Although I can ride I have a healthy respect for very large horses.
The black horses are absolutely  beautiful.

This morning I met friends for coffee in town. It was very busy .

Most people were heading for the chiesa madre.

After lunch the procession passed nearby.

It was very hot….would not like to have been wearing this outfit.

I’ve been meaning to update my work diary so I got around to this afternoon. It was pretty much all the work I’ve done this summer.

I always wish I had begun these diaries years ago.

I’m  planning to go out again tonight, but accept that I will very likely be home again before anything happens. I think the procession comes to an end about 11pm.

However I enjoyed wandering about with my camera last night practising being composed. Almost everyone else was in a group or a couple.

Now it’s  wine and Sunday vlog time.
