And after not sleeping well it was more of a bother than normal.

However I was reading a good book on my kindle and today for the first time in ages I got so into the story that I forgot where I was. It was set in Venice. That hasn’t  happened in a long time.

I spent quite a while finishing my latest portrait. Next time I’m going to paint a proper background. I’ve had it with flowers.

Someone came by and bought two small paintings which will be going to Canada.

Tried to decorate the leather cover I made to use as a notebook cover. It was a bit grubby looking and had an ink stain.

Maybe I’ll write something on the other side.

Tomorrow  it’s  market day and I’m considering  buying something second hand in leather as I’m a little bit obsessed with making book covers. I keep trying to make a better one……..

It looks like it’s  going to be very hot all week and especially at the weekend.

The best thing I did this summer was to buy a new more powerful fan. I’ve never had to use it at maximum yet. The biggest difficulty is putting it far enough away from me. I prefer it to the portable aircon machine which needs an outlet for a hose,  as it is much more portable.

Wine time now after I’ve  watered the flowers.
