2026 in Pisticci…a more complicated work…

Sitting here, about to start writing and Fluffy arrives for a snack. Straight up and over my ” catgate”.

I made it with a wooden frame and then pinned net over it. It fits perfectly in the doorway. No other cat has worked out how to get in. Fluffy just jumps up and over.

This morning I set out to go to the street market to look for second hand leather goods which I could cut up and make into notebook covers.

I had a very nice walk there, but it was a minimal market as there was a bigger one on somewhere else.

Had a look at one of my first murals. There’s  not much left  of it.
It was the biggest one I ever did.
In the piazza writing in my pocket notebook.

On the way home
Even without being lit up the decorations are pretty.

Back home I had a new portrait to begin.

Work in progress….

It was fun to work on something more complicated.

I had to stop reading a book today as it was too stressful. I like mild mysteries. Reading for me is mostly to relax.. .

Have been listening to a lot of useful videos/podcasts which is why I’m  so interested in writing in notebooks. ( making leather covers is not necessary!)

No pizza tonight. Have promised myself that when I  return from Scotland I will go to the dentist.  Really I will…….

Thought I could smell smoke earlier, but not now. Haven’t  heard any fire planes. So hopefully will be a peaceful evening.
