2026 in Pisticci…another commission….

When I was writing this last night I was aware of a lot of beeping going on.

Now I have another commission for an even bigger painting. This time it’s  a countryside scene.  140x90cms. I’ve ordered stretchers and will use some more of my roll of canvas. I’m quite looking forward to painting it.

Since I decided that mornings were for commissions, followed by a three hour lunch break and then it was time to paint my own stuff, I’ve  enjoyed commissions more.

This latest one was organised entirely on WhatsApp  which saves me from getting phone numbers confused.

Also I can translate things if necessary.

It’s  been another lovely day.

Sat outside with a coffee and made plans for today.

My brick with a sunrise painted on it has now had 2 coats of varnish.

I had a lovely interruption this morning when a couple out for a walk stopped by for a chat.

I’ve made some progress with the big scene of Pisticci.

The church and castle are important.

This afternoon I’ve started a painting of a good friend on his tractor. As his face is about the same size as my thumb nail ( in the painting) it’s  proving a little difficult to get a good likeness.

First layer. It’s  going to be really colourful.

Nine years now since James came off his scooter and was helicoptered to Potenza.

Morning …me being a builder. Photo by James.
Afternoon . Potenza.

I found a nice photo of my house when I had just painted the flowers on the wall in 2020.

I miss my flowers, but I’m  enjoying having a shiny white house.

Wine time now.

Cheers🍷🍷
