Or at least I am distracted while writing this and watching on youtube the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I am finding the whole thing quite emotional.

I’ve been watching it while stoveman 2 has manually lit my pellet stove. Another 2 days till the ” bits ” arrive. I am learning a lot in this stove saga.

I thought today was going to be a bit of a non day. I spent a lot of it lying about reading as it was warm in bed and not so much anywhere else.

My ” plan ” was to bore myself back to work……but it was actually very nice lying fully dressed under a fur rug with electric blanket on and a good book.

However I got going eventually as a friend was coming round to deliver a bright green toaster. It was so lovely to see her again and chat for a while.

It also motivated me to wash the floor, brush the rugs and do a few other bits of housework.

So now my stove is going again and tomorrow maybe I can light it myself.

And then I have no excuse for not getting back to work.

Meanwhile , drinking wine and feeling a little hopeful about the future of the world is a good feeling.
