With only a couple of age related adjustments the portrait which has been taking up a lot of my time and energy for the last 2 weeks has left my studio.
It was the hands which were giving me a problem . I am looking on it as an exercise in painting hands. Which in my opinion are more difficult than faces. And these hands were all mixed up together.
So now I get my life back.
Today I washed all my bedding etc from upstairs and am now moved into my gallery/bedroom. I love my attic bedroom, but it’s too hot to sleep there in the summer. It’s quieter up there as I am further away from neighburs and there is no one above me.
The back wall of my gallery is underground. In winter it is very cold. In summer it is nicely cool. But I can clearly hear upstairs neighbours and get woken up most mornings by a chair scraping across the tiles. Luckily I like to get up early.
I even had time to go outside and paint some of my flowers on my tablet this afternoon.. It was a bit rushed but I was pleased to do it.
And now I can enjoy a glass of wine and think about what I might chose to paint tomorrow.
Cheers. 🍷🍷
