2021 in Pisticci…. painting sunshine…

It’s nice to get back to doing my own work. I have 3 small canvases (30×25cms) which are already drawn ready to paint. The challenge for me is to make them look bright and cheerful even when they aren’t. People tend to buy colourful paintings here. And it’s more fun for me to paint. I am also trying to show the sunshine in each scene.

After another night of bad dreams and waking up every hour it was nice to have a relaxed morning and begin work after lunch.

Am quite liking my new set up in my workroom. My tablet is much easier to paint from than my phone. And listening to an audiobook really makes the time fly by.

It took me about 5 hours to finish one painting.

After checking Facebook where I get most of my local information it seems there are 6 more cases of the virus in Pisticci.

It’s a good thing that I have a lot of things to do at home. It is still probably the best place to be.

I liked what happened in Glasgow yesterday with the 2 asylum seekers. It’s always heart warming when people are kind.

Tomorrow I really must go out for a walk. And maybe take my tablet up the pink brick road and paint something colourful.

But for now I’ll just drink wine and listen to jazz while the wind blows my net curtain half way across the room. It has been windy all day.

Hurray, it’s the weekend. Cheers 🍷🍷

This tree survives despite the very strong winds.
