I had a very busy night not sleeping. I found, quite by accident, a photo of a painting/print I have had for years. Now I know the name of the artist. If I could find it then I could check that it’s definitely a print. I put it somewhere safe!

Then I looked on Google to see where it might be possible to buy gas. I think I know where now.

After that I watched an episode of “Inspector Nardone” on my phone. I’ve seen it before ,but it’s so good I might watch it all again….though not in the middle of the night.

In between I read more of my latest book on my kindle called” Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian lions.” It’s better than it sounds.

And I made myself something to eat, chewed 2 indigestion tablets and drank a few glasses of water.

I didn’t check out Twitter as that is too dangerous to look at in the middle of the night, but looking at Instagram is usually okay.

After trying out melted cheese on eggs for breakfast, (not a success) I set off to buy wine , nail varnish and paracetamols.

There was a big queue outside the farmacia so I passed on the paracetamols.

It was fairly hot by the time I got home.

I forgot to mention that Fluffy came back. Am very pleased to see her. I think she was as happy as a cat ever is to see me.

This afternoon I painted, accompanied by Agatha Raisin and a lot of drilling and hammering above ….air conditioner was being installed upstairs. That was followed by the noise of children calling loudly to each other. ( school holidays) . I’d forgotten how loud summer is.

I finished the 33d painting in the series.

And a guest who stayed in my little artist’s house several years ago contacted me and is going to pop in to see me next week. I’m looking forward to that.

I think that makes for a very satisfactory day.
