And I did cook the chicken which eventually defrosted.
I was going to chop it up and boil it, but was too squeamish and I don’t have a very sharp knife. It didn’t help that my gas rings are behaving erratically.
However I tossed the whole chicken in a pot of boiling water. Put the lid on and let it simmer until it fell to bits. I thought it must be cooked by then.
Now the bits I want to eat are in the freezer and the remains are wrapped in the organic bin ,which I brought into the house as 2 days in full sunshine in a bin might be a smelly disaster.
Next time I’ll do better and not be so worried about the whole thing. (I have another one in my freezer compartment. ) I might pick the day before the organic bin is collected though, to cook it.
I don’t know why I was so uptight about the whole thing.
On a lighter note my table painting went well and I am now sitting at it as the wind has finally chosen to blow.

I took photos of my progress.

It’s possible I might be doing another one for someone else.
I’m very pleased with the result.
It cost very little as I found left over paint in the cupboard and used it. If it lasts a couple of years that will be fine. I can just paint over it and do it again with a different design.
It seemed to be very hot today so there might be a storm.
Maybe I’ll sit out in the rain if there is any. That sounds quite appealing.
But now I’ll have a glass of wine and enjoy the evening. (Hopefully)
Cheers🍷🍷
