It was nice to have something less stressful to work on today. Portraits for other people are always a bit worrying. However working for myself is fun, interesting and challenging. ( mostly)

It was a good start to the day as I was outside by 5.30am with coffee and David Hockney. I wonder if what I’m reading will affect my painting. Today I wondered if his French digital paintings made me feel happy because he was happy painting them.

It’s been hot again today, but we are working up to storms on Tuesday and then a drop in temperatures.
It was absolutely fine working with the fan a few feet away.
Tomorrow my plan is to start work on the next local scene. If I can do 3 a week that would be good.( 4 would be better.)
Now my work diary is up to date. The flowers are watered , my new paintings are hung up and I want a glass of wine.
Cheers🍷🍷
Hi Anne; I so wish I could be up early like you< I would get a lot more done. But the jet lag just never leaves me when I come East, so I am up until 3 AM and asleep until….late. This lasts more and more the older I get. Going the other way is a snap! Anyway, keep up the good work.
Jet lag sounds horrible. It’s not difficult to get up early when I usually fall asleep about 9pm….or maybe that should be the other way around.
But right now it’s absolutely the best and coolest time of day.
