This feels like it’s getting to be a habit. I leave for the airport and then go nowhere.
I’m now back at Katy’s house lying on the sofa with a glass of wine.
After getting the bus to Edinburgh Airport this morning, (it was late) I got through all the checks etc and went straight to Boots to buy 2 meal deals for the trip. It was lunch time by then.
Next I checked which gate my flight was leaving from only to discover that it was going to be about 2 hours late. Big problem as I would then have about 20 minutes to get to the railway station to catch my train to Ferrandina. Insurmountable problem as there were no later trains. ( It didn’t help that the airport Internet was not very good.)
I thought about giving it a go and then if necessary finding a room for the night. But I don’t know Naples and I’m a little scared of completely strange places. I think if it had been the same situation in Rome I might have gone. I know Rome and I’m sure I could have got a room in a hotel near the station easily.
So I decided to come back to Perth. ( it looks like the plane has been further delayed now.)
And here I am.

Cheers from Perth 🍷🍷 No breakfast on the doorstep tomorrow for me…..
going to bed and wanted to read about your arrival home to Pisticci and was hoping all went smoothly. So very sorry, I would never have been as strong as you are. Domani you will be home. I know all flights everywhere it seems have these issues. Will look forward to tomorrow with better news.
