I set out early this morning to buy strawberries and cream as a special Sunday treat. I don’t normally buy them as they’re not exactly essential.

I had a lovely walk up the pink brick road and through Terrevecchia.

When I arrived at the supermarket it was closed. ( it’s now opening at 9am instead of 8.30am)

And had a cappuccino in the sunshine.

There were unfortunately no fruit shops open on the way home.

However I was invited to go on a trip to the beach.

Where we ate fruit salad which was even nicer than strawberries .

I had forgotten how lovely it is to be by the sea.

A very satisfactory Sunday.
