Tonight the painter has not arrived. There is probably a very good reason, but I don’t know what it is. Being a bit of a ” worst case scenario” type person I’ve been out and checked that there isn’t anything I couldn’t finish. There is probably only about half an hour’s work left.
To cheer myself up I’ve painted stone Anne and stone James with primer and am considering painting them either a single colour or actually painting the faces.

Tomorrow morning I think I might have a go at moving the flowerpots back without hurting myself in the process. Some of them are quite slidey.
Today I mostly worked on the commission which is looking good.
After being out at a party last night I was a bit tired so I didn’t get around to drawing another crayon portrait.
Also I am going to be part of a group exhibition in the Piazza in August so I cut two boards to fit frames and might draw a couple of portraits for that. I’m very happy to be joining a very nice group of women artists.
There is no theme this time so I can just chose 4 of my favourite paintings. Perfect!.

It’s good to have something to look forward to in August to take part in.
Now for wine time and Maigret.
Cheers 🍷 🍷
