My main plan for today was to stay cool.

But before I could keep cool inside I needed to go shopping ….for more ice lollies, and some other stuff.

I took a more convoluted route than normal.

After watching a lot of ” educational ” videos I decided that I should begin my next book project so that I have something interesting  to return to after my visit to Scotland.

So I read half of the book I wrote in when I was in Verona. On the way to get an ice lolly I heard myself saying , ” Well, that was the best book I’ve  read in ages. “. Made me laugh. ( and wonder how much rubbish I read!)  As a first very rough draft it was better than I thought it would be. I have some ambitious plans  which may or may not be possible.

I’m encouraged by reading about writers who write something good in their 90s.  So I have time…if I live that long.

Maybe I’ve run out of enthusiasm for painting portraits, but I have 2 canvases left so……

I’ve stayed cool all day. (There was a heat warning for our area. )

Hurray, it’s the weekend.

Though it’s  to be nearly as hot tomorrow. 

Now it’s  wine time and maybe a rubbish 80s police series which is not nearly as good as the black and white series of Maigret.
