2026 in Pisticci…all over the place….

Am having difficulty finding out what I want to do . The last time I felt like this I started painting small scenes to have  something to do while I waited for inspiration.

After a lovely start to the day. The little grey cat let me stroke it and was very friendly. Usually it stays at a distance.

Now all these cats are friendly. Feel very honoured.

Have made a start on my Verona project even though I didn’t  feel like it.

Then I drew 3 portraits and an Oliveto scene roughly so they are ready to start painting.

I have two 100x50cm canvases all ready to paint. I’m thinking of making a Pisticci scene including the church and castle as I’m  often asked for that.

To distract myself I fixed my teeth and slight squint in one of my self portraits. It’s  been annoying me for ages.

I don’t think it looks particularly  like me. ( but at least it’s  someone with nicer teeth and no squint.)

Spent some time tidying out art materials drawers and threw out some very old watercolours.

Then, “hurray,” it was 4pm. I reckon that I need to do something constructive  for about 5 hours a day to feel okay. (Constructive would mean anything that isn’t  lying about reading or scrolling on my phone.)

Facebook memories has me all over the place too.
