2026 in Pisticci…love this time of year….

Door open letting in the breeze.

I’ve been at home all day being nicely busy.

Today was how I imagined my days will go, but rarely do.

My morning routine went well. Watched a video about a desk and realised that’s  it’s how you tell the story that counts. I had started watching another one about why art was important, which I would have liked to know, but was so bored after ten minutes that I stopped watching.

I’d like to think that inspired the writing part of the morning.

Then it was time to work on a commission. I finished the face and most of the rest of the skin is done. Very satisfactory. I even enjoyed it.

Lunchtime.

It’s  great having a three hour lunch break.

Then it was time to have fun with neocolours.

Its 100x50cms
It’s  quite hard work scribbling.

Next I’ll add details and then maybe mix in some acrylic paint. At this stage it feels fun. Don’t  want to overdo it  ….but probably will.

I’ve been thinking about going out and sitting painting from life…..but using my tablet. Was inspired by David Hockney.

My doorstep
Can’t remember where this was.
I love this one. Did it in 2020.wondered if I could paint the tree in the dark.

Felt very satisfactory  to get on as well today.

Wine time now.

Cheers 🍷🍷
