2023 in Pisticci. . ….cooking chickpeas and muraling….

I don’t think I’d even heard of chickpeas when I lived in Scotland. But now I buy dried ones, soak them and then boil them. After that I put them in plastic bags and freeze them. One bag cooked with tomato passata, frozen minestrone and some pepperoncini lasts for 4 days. When I stop liking it I’ll find something else to have for lunch.

This morning I also watched some videos on painting poppies. I keep thinking that there must be a simple way, but finished more confused than when I started.

This weekend will be about painting gardenia flowers. I’m getting a ” thing ” about them now. I feel there is a secret to painting them which I just can’t see.

Today’s mural painting involved butterflies and poppies.

It’s getting very “wow!”

Now it’s very pleasant being home and looking forward to the weekend ……and finding the secret of gardenia painting.

It looks like there is a feste on at a church over the other side of Pisticci . Decorations are being set up. I might go and have a look.

But for now a glass of wine and enjoying the end of the week will do.

Cheers🍷🍷
