2026 in Verona…rainy day…

I did know that May was a rainy month here. Which is why I brought my shoes with better soles. Streets are slippier in Italy than in Scotland.

It felt like a smaller adventure going out when it was raining this morning. I didnt go very far, but I found another bridge.

View from the bridge

Then I went to the supermarket  and bought another doormat. There is a small aisle like Lidls’ with a mixture of “things”. I found a mug yesterday.

Not very pretty but functions well. Pencils etc don’t roll off.
The light is good too.

As I was inside a lot today I drew a horribly complicated scene which is what I see when I turn into the corte where my apartment is.

This is just pencil . I didn’t really enjoy drawing it. But it will give me something to do tomorrow when it rains again.

I thought that going to an art gallery when it rains would be a good idea.

So at 5pm I set off to do a recce. And of course I didn’t find it, but I found another bridge and a supermarket.

This looks pretty.
Less of a close up to see if it would make a painting.
Everything looks different when it’s grey.
Piazza Erbe.

Tonight I think that I’ll  make a serious effort to find the art gallery on my map. There is no point in going on a sunny day. Maybe I’ll make a list of rainy day activities.

But now a glass of wine will be perfect.

Cheers🍷🍷
