Am sitting inside my house with the sun pouring in the window. I have the fan on as it’s still quite hot. It’s been around 28C all week and dry.
That means that it’s better to go for coffee about 9am before its very warm.
It’s lovely working inside with the sun shining in. This week have finished another 5 watercolour sketches of Perth scenes. I like to keep challenging myself so have been attempting more complicated drawings but the scene with the reflections in the rain was the most challenging. It was from a photo I took in March when I was walking back from wetherspoons and it was so colourful. I didn’t think I would ever be able to paint it so was very pleased with the way it turned out.
For next week I have some scenes from scone I may do. I have a lovely photo of the pond in the park.
It has taken me a minimum of 4 hours and sometimes a lot more to do each sketch.
I also had a commissioned painting of pisticci to do as well and although i used acrylics in it I could see the influence of the past weeks work showing.
It’s great to be able to do something I enjoy and to continually keep learning more.
The exhibition is now organised for the 23d of October in Perth. In katys company bridal shop near the city hall. There is also a competition to win a watercolour sketch of your choice of scene.
You can find this on my Facebook business page . Look at Anne Parker.
Have included this week’s work and some photos I took this morning on my way to have a coffee.
Have a good week. 😀
