I thought I was nearly finished my latest commission with the crowd scene until I zoomed in on the heads and some of them are weird shapes.

The ones at the front are ok. The ones at the back are necessarily blurred ….but the faces in the middle are …..mmmm…could be better.!

There are a lot of things I like about the painting. The colour is good. The buildings work. The crowd scene in general is ok.

My lack of learning is showing. I am not really familiar with skulls which if I was it might help to prevent painting weird shaped heads. Luckily I have tomorrow to work on them.

Today it has been a bit grey outside and all I have done all day , more or less is paint. I also spent some time trying to get a likeness in a small portrait which I have been struggling with.

I drew a rough sketch for my next commission on my tablet.

There are another 15 new cases of the virus in Pisticci. That’s a bit worrying.

And the water is off from 5pm.

It’s not good to be tired so I’ve stopped for today.

Tomorrow I need to finish some things. I like it when things are completed.

Last night when I couldn’t sleep I bought some fake tan lotion online. I really like the idea of looking brown this summer. So if I can just get the hang of applying it without the streaks… I am considering cutting my old jeans off at the knees and I still think my legs look ok ( but not white!) That might be a good feeling. I have given up on ever going to the beach or sunbathing .

But for tonight I just need to relax and get a decent sleep……….
