Normally if the wind is blowing it means it’s cooler. But not today. I think its called a scirocco and it’s a little like being in front of a giant hairdryer.
This is a good day to be glad we already had a fire. Even though ashes and burned leaves are being blown up the street. When I went outside to water the flowers my eyes seemed to get very gritty. Could be sand or ash.

Today would not be a good day to have a fire. It would spread at a tremendous rate. I haven’t heard the fire planes today. They make a distinctive sound.
Apart from the wind I’ve had a lovely day. I finally feel that my back problem is starting to get better and that there is something I can do to help.
This morning I walked up town . It was only 30C in the shade and that was pretty comfortable.
I wore one of my new masks and was pleased with it. Having ten washable masks of various colours and patterns to chose from is good.
A lot of people are still wearing masks outside in the corsa and piazza even though it is only mandatory inside. I’m okay with that.
I was particularly impressed with the person who came up to me outside the bar and put their mask on when they approached to ask about a painting. That makes me feel safe.
It was great to be out , even if I was a little achey. At least I stocked up on paracetamols and wine.
And the rest of the day I painted. I am ok with doing small paintings with no time limit.
For a change I liked this one. Hurray!!

I wasn’t sure if I could make it look a little bit pretty if I included the green bin. I did miss out the upside down table on top and also a car parked right in the middle. The Italian flag was actually there.
It is so very nice to feel more cheerful. I enjoyed catching up with my painting diary.

Wine time now .🍷🍷cheers.
