2024 in Pisticci…  had a Sunday kind of Monday…

I’m not good with late nights and last night I got home after midnight.

Top, shirt and jeans from the €2 market stall and James’s cord jacket. I also took an old suede fringed handbag I bought at an antiques market. My idea of dressing up.

The event I went to was held in a beautiful  little old house with arched brick walls. It was only a few streets away. I arrived on time and it was full. ( this is Italy….nothing starts on time??) Luckily the organiser  told me to go and sit on the sofa at the front which was empty. I’d never have gone there otherwise. I was joined by 2 other people . So it was cosy. It was also the most comfortable seat in the house. I’d come prepared with a scarf to soften the wooden seats. That was the highlight of the evening.

The guitarist who had been popular in the 80s ( he was 77) played like an angel….but spoke far more than he played and it was more like a lecture which included music. I understood  enough to know how he felt about music, but I would have preferred to experience the music for myself.

It was, however, good to be out, to meet friends and feel part of a group. And there was wine and snacks.

So I’ve been tired all day.

Instead of pushing myself I decided just to to lie about and read. ( plugged the electric  blanket back in for the winter.)

It was interesting  to chose not to paint another cat….which had been my plan.

Though I did cut off the end of Fluffy’s tail and varnish the painting.

Better.

About 3pm I woke up and thought that I hadn’t done any digital painting for a while.

Sat down and drew this in about 20 minutes. I’d forgotten how much I loved using my Paintart app.

Then I decided to play with my big canvas.

Used water soluble  pastels and just made it up as I went along. Maybe I’ll scrub it all off again tomorrow.

By this time it was sunset.

Pretty.
Lovely blue shadows
Yummm……strawberries tomorrow

And now it’s wine time.

Cheers🍷🍷
