2025 in Perth…..last day of my 60s……

I wasn’t sure if I was going to write that, but it is what it is.

I wasn’t looking forward to my 60th birthday either ,but it turned out okay ( thanks to a wild stallion ) and the last 10 years have been , well…..,  pretty amazing. So much has happened in my life and circumstances, the world has changed quite a bit too, and I’m still alive.

I remember thinking after my 60th birthday that I was now a young old person. It has worked well for me..

I suppose being a teenage old person might be a good way to look at my 70s. What might I do….I was a really boring shy teenager, perhaps I could have more fun this time around……

Having already decided that I was going to have a birthday year it’s been interesting so far.

Four months in Scotland getting new eyes was an adventure. I enjoyed finding out that although it was lovely to see friends and spend time with family I was also glad to be home in Pisticci at the end.

(It feels more like I have 2 homes now. )

I’m looking forward to returning to Pisticci next week and getting to work on big paintings for my second exhibition  this year. That is  very exciting. I’ve never done this before.

Katy and I were talking earlier about this year and spending time together. I was glad to have been part of her body building experience. ( just observing!)

It would be nice if the weather was good tomorrow but it doesn’t look like it. On my 50th ( in Italy) there was a thunderstorm and torrential rain. On my 60th (in Italy) there was a hailstorm which turned everything white.

It was nice today in the garden so I took some photos incase it snowed tomorrow!!!

Doug enjoying the sun.
Everything is looking good.

Wine time now.

(70 is only a number….and in my head I still feel about 19……….)

Cheers 🍷🍷x
