As the vacuum bags I ordered arrived today I thought that I’d  practice packing. ( I have a lot of time….)

I wanted to put all the heavy stuff in my backpack so that I could use the overhead luggage  mostly for clothes. Although my clothes are now squished in bags taking up less room they still weigh the same. I found some scales hidden in the shower room which still work. Only I don’t recognise them. No idea where they came from.

I was thinking that in the past 10 years I’ve packed for two days and stayed a month. I’ve also gone out with a handbag and stayed away a week. ( mostly when James was in hospital.) Now I always carry certain things, just incase.

In May the weather could be wet and chilly or baking hot so I’ve done my best. However as I’ve almost decided to get a train home then I don’t need to worry if I have to buy anything to supplement what I have.

I discovered that one of the enlarged pockets  I made in my jacket will hold my Kindle. That’s nice. And my travellers notebook fits in another pocket.

I cleaned stuff today instead of painting.

It was good to go up town again. When it’s sunny and lots of people are out it’s fun.

Decided to stay home tonight. Tooth protection.  Probably  over  reacting,  but  ……..

Wine time now.
