2026 in Verona…recce to the railway…

Was pleased with myself this morning as I remembered to do my short exercise routine.

I set off confidently for the railway station and as there were lots of people with suitcases to follow it wasn’t  hard to find. Apart from standing in the queue for the men’s toilets , luckily I noticed just in time, it went well and I have a number to dial for a taxi to collect me at the end of the month.

It took half an hour to walk there and am not prepared  to drag my suitcase that far.

On the way back I went into the more expensive supermarket  to buy touch up hair dye. It feels good now that I know where to go for things.

Piazza Bra this morning.
I love the colours of the buildings.
Pretty street light.

I  spent an hour chosing photos which might be worth painting, but was too tired to actually try any of them.

So I listened to a podcast about Virginia Woolf instead.

Finally I decided to go out and buy something to paint. Back in the Flying Tiger, I bought a basket, candle in a tin bucket and some flowers.

Coming back via Piazza Erbe    was a surprise as I wasn’t exactly sure where I was.

I think it is spectacular.
More lovely colours

I’d enough energy to paint a quick still life with neocolours. Very therapeutic.

Not a masterpiece, but I like it.

Wine time now. No particular  plans for tomorrow. Might look at my map and go somewhere I haven’t been.

Cheers🍷🍷
