2026 in Perth…Potfest…

Today I went to Potfest with a friend. It was held in the grounds of Scone palace. I have never been before.

It was amazing to see so much pottery in one place.

All sorts of beautiful work.

The weather could have been better…but we didnt actually get wet. It was quite cold.

However it did not put off hardy Scots.

Scone palace
There were lots of tents full of potters and pottery.
Don’t know what the building in the background is, but I liked the tree with the red jacket.
Picnicking in the park
Hardy Scots eating and drinking outside.

I definitely don’t  feel like a hardy Scot after 20 years in Italy. I was glad of Katy’s thick jacket which she loaned me. ( I wished I had brought a woolly hat!)

I was sorry to hear that David Hockney died. His Ipad paintings inspired me to start working on my tablet. Also his attitude to painting, especially latterly , resonated with me.

So I painted my birthday flowers again, on my tablet.

Thank you David Hockney.

It’s  been a lovely sociable day .

Wine time now.

Cheers🍷🍷
