2026 in Pisticci ….contrast…

I’ve been wondering if I should write this, but it was such a lovely experience. I was chatting in a cafe with my friend when a couple at a nearby table asked if I was Anne Parker.

They were from a particular city in another country and apparently I might be better known there than I ever knew.

It’s quite strange, in a nice way ,to be treated as mildly famous.  (I’m Scottish where  brilliant equals ” no bad” and showing off is not done.. So this is quite tricky to write.)

So perhaps on the outside I was friendly but a little shy, on the inside I was as pleased as could be and grinning like an idiot.

The contrast is in how I normally see myself as the person who is happy when the lady at the supermarket  smiles at me, or a neighbour asks me to get something for them at the shops, the person who is avoiding going to the dentist and is afraid every time at the bancomat because  it might swallow my card. Who lives in a frankly scruffy house disguised by some creative art work, has big feet,  could really use a trip to a hairdresser and eats the same thing for lunch every single day…and breakfast.

It’s not that I don’t like myself now, because I do.

However being treated as mildly famous is so cool.

Enough of that.( Still smiling.)

Today I painted  another older Italian lady.

It’s  difficult to describe how much fun it is to draw with these crayons. I think it maybe shows in the portraits.

I want to smile back at her.

Fluffy has been searching for a place to have kittens again so I had to put her out.

Looking to see if there was enough space behind the killer cushion.
Or maybe under the bed would be better….
Considering  under the table in the work room…..

She does this every time she is pregnant.

Now it’s  time for Sunday vlogs …..and a glass of wine.

Cheers🍷🍷
