I think I’m surprised to be so busy. Am not complaining. Just wondering what has changed. And being in a precarious profession. ( enjoyed writing that) then I am saying yes to almost every commission. After all next month I might earn nothing.

Today my alarm went off at 5.30am and as I was a little anxious about all the things I needed to do today I just got up.

I am happy to say that I have now reached half way in editing my diary. I don’t quite know what I will do when I am finished. It would be better with pictures. But no need to worry about that for a few months.

My first job was to staple the canvas on to the 70x50cm stretcher I made yesterday. I was pleased with the result. Even the corners are okay. I am still surprised that I can do this.

I spent all morning drawing my next 2 commissions…one of which is to be ready for Friday. I quite like deadlines…but it has crowds of people in it and am not confident painting little people. I spent all afternoon painting the background. Well, it would need to be done sometime……

Listening to audiobooks is definitely helping my painting. I can paint for much longer periods.

So on to crowds tomorrow. Am sure I will be better this time……I hope.

There was no time to do anything else today . However it feels like a good day’s work.

So a glass of wine is very welcome.
