Got up early this morning and as I had a portrait to finish for tomorrow I have done very little else all day.

It is more or less finished and I think it looks great. But I will look at it tomorrow morning and see if anything needs fixed.

After a rather disturbed night. This time I was trying to work out how to fix the previous painting and couldn’t sleep. I had to have 2 cups of coffee, some of my chocolate egg, still not finished , and a bit of chocolate cake I found in the freezer before I got properly started painting.

I must have been a little bored as I found time to jog round my house clutching my phone to see if it was really counting my steps. It was. No wonder it’s called a smart phone.

And I had a short break to go up to the piazza and collect my new tubes of acrylic paint which would make plein air painting easier, should I ever make myself do it.

Also splashed out on a small bag of compost for my long suffering plants as I saw it lying outside the little shop on the steps. Tomorrow I plan to give them all a treat by watering them and sharing out the compost among them.

Not a bad day’s work.
