I am trying to combine exercise and stealth stockpiling by going to the supermarket 3 or 4 times a week. And to be honest I am trying to buy a heavy thing every time so that I don’t have to carry so much weight at one time.

Today it was a bit special.

I went via the chinese shop where I bought white tape to seal my door and string to hang paintings from at the market.

I arrived outside the supermarket and heard someone calling my name. I didn’t recognise the person , but it was me they were looking at. ( you know when you look around, just incase there is someone behind you, I did that!)

And now I have a new portrait commission. Hurray!

It’s always nice in the shop as the staff are very friendly and today an elderly gentleman who I know a little, stopped me and took out his wallet to show me photos of all his children and himself as a young man. He was very handsome.

It’s still making me smile.

After walking home again I felt I had achieved rather a lot.

And it got better as a previous client dropped by and now I have another 3 small portraits to do.

It was another cold sunny day and I have nearly finished another watercolour. A complicated one which may or may not have worked.

My plan is to start the portraits next week so I have time for a few more watercolours this week

There have been some beautiful skies.
