2026 in Verona…scary storm…

I was just sitting down ready to write this when there was a whole lot of noise. I didn’t know what it was at first, but it was a combination of the storm and shutters banging.

I’ve managed to shut some of the shutters, but the wind was so strong that I could hardly open the window to get at them..

However they’ve stopped banging now. The storm is carrying on . I can see lightening flashes when I look out the window. And the thunder is still around.

I was feeling quite tired tonight and was quite relieved when it rained and I decided there was no reason to go out. I wasn’t  expecting a storm.

This morning I was out early to get some shopping and to drop off a bag of rubbish.

Then I went out again for a walk which turned into a very long trek. However on the way home I found the Flying Tiger shop and spent a happy half hour looking at everything . Have taken note of how to find it again.

Back at my favourite spot near the ponte pietra.
The old stone bridge.
I think I painted these houses.
There are so many beautiful  views.
I wouldn’t like to be in one of these boats.
View from a newer bridge
One of my favourite shops.

This afternoon I was going to start a new bigger painting, but instead I did a small scene on black paper.

My painting table.

The storm is still continuing.

Wine is definitely  a good idea now. And maybe some Italian TV.

Cheers 🍷🍷
