2026 in Pisticci….first day home….

After arriving just before midnight last night I wasn’t  expecting too much of myself today.

Yesterday’s journey home was pretty good. It began with a friendly taxi driver who might be going to live in Italy and write.

Apart from 4 gate changes the flight was good and there was an empty seat beside me which was a luxury.

Getting a taxi back from the airport was worth every cent. Otherwise I would have had to stay overnight in Bari.

I’ve got a lot of plans for this summer, but have no intention of beginning anything until Monday.

These few days are for getting organised.

So I was off out to the little supermarket before 9am.

These steps dont get any easier….must get fitter!
New flowers  on the railings.
Hardly anyone about in the corsa.

I thought that I should try one of my new summer dresses at home.

It has pockets…….

This afternoon Ive checked out how to paint something on metal which will have to put up with up to 40C heat as well as some torrential rain and strong winds.

Then I ordered some heavy and bulky things online. Fingers crossed they get delivered to my door as not having to carry them is the point.

I’ve  also repainted my name on my post box in an attempt to get GLS to deliver to my address and not the hardware shop at the other side of town.

Could do better…….

And Fluffy was back this morning.

Was nice to see her.

Now I might see if I can find Upstairs Downstairs on Netflix and have a glass of wine.

Cheers 🍷🍷
